So I’ve been playing way too much World of Warcraft lately, I’m gonna start doing productive stuff soon, like rewriting the http://www.ziongreene.org website. This weekend I’m going to the NYS Fair.

I’m gonna perform updates to this site soon, making it more generic including photography of mine and other such things.

I got a Canon A540 the other week, it’s a great camera. I found this software for Canon cameras, it enables alot of features not enabled by default on Canons including scripts. I enabled USB remote with this script. I then made a little circuit to apply 3.3 volts to the correct wires on the USB port of the camera. Here is a photo of the device taken using the remote.

I will post projects that I do and my learning process. I hope to develop a reader for some punch tape from an old CNC machine that I have. It’s tape with 8 holes it for 8 bits of data and one smaller hole for syncing I assume.
